I'm not a Democrat, but don't push me...

I'm not a Democrat, but don't push me...had an argument/discussion the other night with a few friends about the the amount of money the average american spends in taxes. I have always been a Conservative, same as most all of my friends, but recently I have really begun questioning how I really feel about the Tax rate here in United States. After looking into how much I, as an average person living in the United States pays out in taxes, it's quite shocking. In 2011, the average American will pay 18.2% out in Federal income taxes while Big Businesses and Corporation will pay much less, only 10%. Plus on top of that Corporation will share 3% of that 10% back to the consumer and it's employees. After telling my friends this, they immediately backed big business saying three different things: First, that Big Businesses and Corporations get tax breaks so they can hire more people and create new jobs. Secondly, that Big Businesses and Corporation pay the overwhelming majority of taxes in the United States so the percentages really don't matter. And lastly, the money is theirs, they earned it and they should be able to keep what they earned. The problem with these statements for me is this....How can we tax the average person 10% more than the person who does not have to ever worry about making ends meet or struggle to keep food on the table, this makes no sense no matter how you look at it. How do I know that the Business Owner, Big Business or Corporation is really hiring more people and creating new jobs and not just lining the pockets of the people who invested in their company on Wall Street? I agree that the money I earn should stay in my bank account but it does not....so why does a family that makes 50k a year need to pay 18.2% of their earnings back to the Government while Big Business and Corporations get a 8.2% tax cut, whiling sharing an additional 3% back to the average everyday consumer and faithful employee? How is that Fair? Oh but wait!! There is more!! If you thought 18.2% was bad we need to take in consideration that there are several other state and federal taxes that we get hit with on top of the federal income tax. The average American has to pay State and local income taxes in an average of 10.6%, depends on what state you live in some are higher or lower and some states that do not have a local income tax doesn't mean you aren't getting this tax from somewhere else.(property taxes or storm drainage runoff tax lol ect...). The average American pays 10.3% of their paychecks to Sales taxes. On top of that 7.65% of the average Americans Paycheck goes to our ever-failing Social Security,Medicare and Welfare systems. The average American only pays 2.7% of their Paycheck to property taxes, again this changes from state to state. States that do not have an income tax will definitely make that back here with property taxes. But wait we are still not done, did you know for every 1 gallon of gas that you buy you pay the federal Government $0.45 in taxes? and this only accounts for 0.6% of the average Americans paycheck. Lastly we pay 7% of our paychecks to estate taxes, fees, licenses, inflation losses, inheritance, deficit allowance, gift, and others too numerous to mention. If you Tally this all up you will see that the Average American pays over 55% of their wages back to the Government, one way or another either local or federal, we all are losing. So do I hate Big Businesses and Corporations? No, I don't hate on them for wanting to keep as much money as they can, but what I do hate is how they build their empires on the backs of the average American while the average American struggle to make ends meet. Most Corporations worry about taking care of their bottom line and paying out a high dividend to it's share holders, while the Average American working for them, cannot afford to buy a share of stock of the company they are working for. It is sad we live in such a great nation like the United States were Greedy Corporations are allowed to profit off their employees(back) honest work, while not giving them enough income to buy into their benefit plans, which then in turn the Government has to step in and pick up their slack(welfare and Medicaid), which is paid by the average American. This is just morally and ethically wrong and should be regulated one way or another. Greed corrupts even the most honest man, and for the most part, these are not the most honest men to start with. I know the Government has a lot to do with all these problems and I have no answer on fixing the Government, all I know is that something drastic needs to be done here in America because we are unwillingly and unknowingly, slowly embracing Socialism in our everyday life.

It's a Leg Up not a Hand Out--Part 2

I don't want you to get the feeling that I'm just a whiney beeotch about this subject because I'm not, I know to improve my situation I gotta do me, just do me better, but seriously it seems like the rich really do get richer and the middle to poor class can never escape the dooming fact that we will never be more than pawns in this never ending game of chess called life. Corporations and some business owners are banking, even right now in this so called recession, while the little guy that puts in a lot or most of the work but still can't provide his family with the basic necessities of life. Corporations grow larger on the back of the hard working middle class, and when it comes to a yearly wage increase the Corporation uses the "Recession Card" to gracefully bow out for another year. The price of fuel, tires, oil, corn, milk, and just about anything you can think of goes up, everything except your pay check. Then these corporations wonder why their employees don't give a shit if things get done the right way. Well get a CLUE guys!!! There are some new business such as Google and other technology businesses that seem to have a better understanding of an employee/employer work relationship, they know if the treat the employee like they are an asset and give them the freedoms to be thereselves on the job as long as they meet there bottom line. It makes the work place a more civil place again and doesn't make it feel like a slave and master situation, which I feel for the most part is how 75% plus of us feel that are working in the work force today. Remember to subscribe to my blog and please let me know how you feel, are you on the same page with me? Or am I just being whiney little beeotch??

Looking for a Leg Up not a Hand Out--Part 1

Ever felt like you were going no where in life?? At times I really don't understand how my parents generation became so successful. People my age never seem to have any extra spending money, in fact most my friends are just struggling to pay their mortgage and put food on the table. Seems like most people that are successful and are my age have either gotten lucky with sports or entertainment, or their parents have helped them out, by either paying for school and paying for their everyday needs so all the had to concentrate on was school, or handed them a family business, or used their business to start funding a similar business. So how do I as 28 year old man get a leg up in life? I've been told "you gotta save save save until you have enough money to make a profitable move, when one comes along" but where in the hell do I get this savings money when my bills are almost as much as I make???
This part one of this rant, leave me your suggestions and ideas, I really want to know what you think...til then make sure to subscribe to my blog and check out my other pages!!

The Outgoing Guy>>>extinct??

Went out to the hookah lounge last night, it's always really good to catch up with old friends and see how they are doing. I always remember when I was in high school hanging out with a big group of people, but now that I'm older for some reason we never chill with a group of people it's one on one person or couple at a time.(sucks)(cuz I'm a people person) Anyone else have this same thing going on or have any ideas on fixing problem leave me comment and remember to subscribe.

NFL Draft Frenzy

Anyone watching the Free Agency frenzy that is the NFL?? Ochocinco going to the Patriots, thats craziness to me. Why would you take a fine tune machine like the Patriots and throw a guy like Ochocinco into the mix? Don't get me wrong I don't have a problem with Chad, but I just don't see him fitting into the line up in New England. I think the Cardinals are making some good moves by grabbing up Kolb, I think he is franchise quarterback material, but I guess only time will tell. The Titans picked up Hasselback which I think is a step up from their current situation, with Vince and Kerry. McNabb might get another chance in Minnesota, but I don't think that will having any bearing on Vikings standing in the League(washed-up). Reggie Bush takes his talents (or the lack thereof) to South Beach...I know the Dolphins definitely need some major changes but I'm not so sure bringing Bush on board is going to accomplish what they are looking to do.
