I Hate Pop Culture

Its been awhile since my last post, but I really just felt the need to get on and vent on some fustrations of my every day life. New Years Eve, sitting in front of the TV waiting for the big ball to drop in New York City. Watching countless musicians (if thats what you call them) sing all thier popular songs to a crowd of thousands, but I'm cheering lik the crowd in time square, no no instead im disgusted by the whole cheerful scene. Why? Do you ask, because for me these people remind me of sheep being lead to the slaughter, being told what to like and how to act. Radio in general is the biggest brain washing tool of all time. You listen to a song on the radio you don't like but after being feed the same song over and over it grows on you and all the sudden your singing it. Who is the person that says this person is the "in" person to listen to or to admire? I just think we should really ask ourselves these questions, and to be brutally honest with ourselves. I definitely believe that Satan owns/rules the airways (meaning TV, Radio, even Internet in some instances) so its not shocking to me that people so blindly follow and admire whoever or whatever the pop culture says to admire. For me I try to limit my exposure to pop culture altogether, only nibbling on what pop culture tells me I should be listening or doing. Instead I like to explore subculture of the pop culture, Music and TV or Video that I was not forced into listening too, and that I freely choose to listen to and made the decision myself to like or dislike the music or video. I suggest if you feel the same way a great place to find a subculture is in your local neighborhood and city, another place to find a subculture is the internet, just be careful the subculture you are getting into is not pop culture in disguise.
